About Our Organization
The Florence Band Boosters are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which is devoted to supporting the band program in the Fremont RE-2 school district. After the FHS band finished their marching season in 2019 as the state runner up, a group of interested parents met and formed the Florence Band Boosters. Since 2018 the Florence High School Howling Husky Pride has been a consistent top 4 finisher in the state of Colorado, with two back-to-back state championships in 2023 & 2024. The marching band consists of 63 high school students, the concert band consists of approximately 125 students from both middle school and high school, the multiple level jazz ensembles consist of 80 students from the middle school and high school, the volunteer pep band consists of 30 students from both middle school and high school, and our beginner 6th grade band program consists of 60 new students. As we continue to place high in our competitions, we are expecting more growth in all areas of the band program.
Mission
Our mission is to provide logistical and financial support to allow our students to continue their pursuit of excellence. We also recognize the importance of preparing our younger band students to become engaged in the band program. Therefore, the Florence Band Boosters supports a high-quality instrumental music program that benefits all students in our district.
